Thierry Van Dyck

Custom sailing vessels, handmade tables, commercial and domestic woodworking.

Thierry Van Dyck is a Belgian artist and lifelong sailor. He lived in the Caribbean for 12 years before moving to Charleston, SC. Through combining a passion and love for the sea with his comprehension of sailing vessels, he creates these custom built boats by hand, plank by plank. Van Dyck pays vigilant and delicate attention to each of his projects throughout his creative process. He has been constructing model boats with his marine knowledge and imagination for 20 years, each one an original work of art.

Van Dyck was working with wood long before he made his first boat, building and designing homes in the construction business near Brussels. This led him to yet another passion, on a slightly smaller material scale – the designing and production of handmade tables. With each wooden table varying in size, they all reflect their own unique personality and presence within a domestic space. He applies several techniques to give his tables an antique and rustic feel to them.

Jessica Murtha is a South Carolina native who spent several years living in Italy. It was there that she discovered the creations of master
ceramic arts in Umbria and Tuscany. Her style of handbags & tables is inspired by those of Italian artisans, who hand paint each of their works. She sculpts & paints each design with extreme care and protects the finished product with a thick, crystal clear glaze. Her works come in various sizes, with each one being unique in design. She offers a range of designs to choose from, and is always open to creating a custom vision for someone.
